A simple lash tint and lift will shape your eyes without having to worry about adding strip extensions to achieve that doe-eyed look. What is a lash tint and lift?
A lash tint is simply dying your eyelashes. It is a super quick and easy treatment because of the little amount of hair on your lash line. It takes less than 10 minutes, and you can still see the results for the next four weeks. But, what exactly is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a bit more technical; it’s when a chemical solution (usually keratin) is used to enhance the shape of your natural lashes. A lash lift takes a little longer as it is quite technical. The qualified eyelash technician treats every individual lash. It results in a lift that is similar to when you use an eyelash curler. It gives you more shape, length and volume. Think of it as a perm for your lashes!
The results can be especially dramatic if your eyelashes grow flat naturally as a perm will lift them back towards your eyelid. Most of our clients note the lift makes them feel younger, their eyes look brighter, and they look more awake.
How does a lash lift work?
First things first, your beautician will glue a silicone shield to your eyelid. Then with a comb, your lashes are lifted and separated into place. Next, a serum is applied to break down the protein in the lashes to make them more moldable and susceptible to the perm solution.
The keratin solution is then applied and left on your lashes to restore and condition them (so they grow back longer and stronger!). Finally, the tint is done followed by another layer of keratin for extra strength and conditioning. And, hey presto! You have fabulous looking lashes without having to lift a finger.
How long does a lash lift last?
